Finding the spirit of the mad poet alive and well in Woodstock, NY, as I sat on a bench at town center feeding my baby, we were treated to a colorful rant by a local character. His rage filled performance was enhanced as he violently swept the sidewalk and punctuated his verse by flipping the bird to passersbies. Tourists were giving him a wide berth by the time he broke out with “Pee, Pee, Pee.”
“President priest principal- politician physician-
Pee, pee, pee,
The educated consumer
is the devil.”
Reveling in the after glow of his coherence, he calmed down a great deal, and continued with his sweeping.
