Swish on second shot

Dreams Unfolding

At school in the gym, in the corner of the court.  A ball bounces my way from a group playing.  I launch a long shot. My aim is good, but a little short and the ball bounces right back to me.  I shoot again and score.

my response:

I love simple dreams like these as they often open up some unexpected insights because they are not all wrapped up in plot.  A long shot from the corner…I take this as an answer an unspoken question I’ve had regarding the current efforts and application of myself into these pages.   This blog site is the second incarnation of my vision over the last two months.  Indeed, the first attempt came up a little short.  That’s fine, but what is the dream also pointing out as a possible direction?  There’s the sense that I’m barely in the game, just one step onto the court.  Making a difficult and low percentage shot is exhilarating, but the action is getting out amidst the players and mixing it up.  Remembering how I was always a good rebounder because I learned early the skill of boxing out.  Team sports depend on executing the fundamentals, which creates the context for exceptional performance.  Let’s play.
