Man Stuck in a Hole

Dreams Unfolding

I’m being led along a building and there is a man squatting in a shallow hole that looks almost like a nest.  The person leading me tells me that he will stay there until it becomes uncomfortable.

My response:

I’ve been thinking a great deal about the changes that are underway in my life.  I’m approaching three months at this new practice, working ideas and relationships from a digital platform.  I’ve been the man in the shallow hole before, thinking I was stuck, when all I needed to do was get up and get moving.

So why this dream, why now?  It’s important if we are to recognize any difference that is emerging in our lives, to have a baseline, to see where we have come from.  In the last dream in this series, where the shadow throws a fit, it became clear that a fundamental change had occurred allowing a different outcome.

90 days as a milestone is huge in the recovery world and leading brain research is now backing up the idea that 90 days of sustained intent rewires the circutry of the brain.  What’s been interesting over the last week is that while I have not had a lot of coherent dreams, night after night I’ve had fragments of tags and posts and twitter id’s, much like a data flood.  There’s something afoot and I’ll reach 90 days when I walk into the New Marketing Summit in a few weeks.  I’ll be a rewired man…

  • I'm not sure I can intelligently respond to/comment on the above, as I have no training on dream interpretation. But it sounds interesting...big...important. I've been in that hole...I'm in that hole now, I think. So I'll be back to hear what more comes of your dreams unfolding. Mayhap it'll help me rise up.
