Wordle as a way…

My reader delivered a link to Wordle today and I find the tool quite useful in a sort of right side of the brain king of way.  I fed the url for Catskill Cottage Seed into the program and it delivered this visual cloud of Catskill Cottage Seed.

When studying the cloud my mind traveled multiple directions simultaneously, the visual presentation made me think of what the poet Robert Creeley wrote: “the mind is a finger,” and these touch points a map of what I’ve been probing.  What does this type of visual presentation reveal for you?  Enter your own site or document and see what emerges…then play with the variation tool that lets you keep recasting the cloud in different shapes, fonts, colors and arrangements.

Thanks for this fun link. No IDEA how the name Steve popped into mine... Really enjoying this site, BTW. ;) C.

  • Made a Wordle a while back with character words for children. If you place your work in the public domain, it can be used to create T-shirts or other artwork. Thought that was cool. Haven't been able to do that, though. Wordle IS fun!
