Walking through a city, still in the far East, and I come to an interesting market. It is a square surrounding a gold fish pond. The four halls have vendors in them and are covered by a roof, though there are no walls: it’s an open air market. I’m not really looking for anything to buy, instead, I’m studying the market.
Amplification:
What strikes me is the sense of ritual that surrounds this market. All is not just expediency. The pond in the center keeps the activity symbolically tied to the unconscious. The roof over the halls protects from the rain and sun, but the entire place remains open air. The width of the aisle is adequate, but not overly generous, forcing the participants to acknowledge each other and interact, if only so as not to bump into each other.
This dream follows two that explored of the nature of the Spirit in the material world. This dream image, with the emphasis on design and social interaction, poses a different perspective on the same theme. How does the unconscious structure the marketplace of social interaction?
The design of the market, if looked at from overhead, presents a mandala image: an image of the soul.

Initiation yes, but to what?
Practice, pragmatically...
