Valley of Fire - Slot Canyon

(A prologue to a series)

I’m headed into the desert today, to the Valley of Fire where Native Americans, at least those who predated the European invasion (I say this because no matter how hard I try, I can’t shake that I’m a native too)…where Native Americans left an amazing array of petroglyphs.

I’ve structured a reflection to guide my hike:  how do these marks left on the canyon walls some 500 years ago relate the the digital markings we are all making with our social media activity?

(I’ll also need to get some facts about the story behind the petroglyphs which I also look forward to sharing).

  • Richard,
Your blog is like the History Channel, National Geographic and the Discovery Channel all bundled into one. Add in "Modern Technology" and "Spirituality Sans the Institutional Befuddlement [read: Religion]" (I made those last to up), and you've got yourself CCSeed (must-see) TV.
    Lucky us.

  • Gosh Jeb, if this goes to my head, I'll be demanding a star on my hotel room....Thanks for the kind words.
