Keeping it Simple

Sometimes when there has been a definitive break you want to hit the ground running so that it seems one has not missed a beat.

Not this time.  This re-emergence into the magnificent potential that unfolds across these platforms will be taken with the luxury of any painless yawn.  A simple pleasure for sure, but one that gains in stature after having it denied for a week.

This past week, with its tangible moments of mortal uncertainty, brought with it the gift of perspective.  The direction forward: celebration.

Celebration of the children taking steps and scraping knees, of the beauty that surrounds us through each of the four seasons, and of the simple things we take for granted, like the sunlight bathing the corner of a room or another painless yawn.

  • You convey a lovely sense of return from life-changing adventure ... though it was only a flu, right? Glad you're back.

  • Hello Ruth,
Thank you for the note. Turns out it was not the flu but an infection wrecking havoc with me.
  • I might argue you write better about sickness than health. But I'm glad to see you're OK.

Good to see you back Richard. One small step...

  • I'm happy to read you are recovering. I like the Zen-attitude of this post. Refraining from doing, acting, performing. Letting it happen.

Like a dog. Opening one eye - but just one.
Like Duchamp: "What's your profession?" - "I breathe."
