Hi Richard,

great news! All the best for your application.
Currently I don't like to plan so much as my best plans where those that were no plans.
My guiding words are: Love, Courage, and that old friend/ foe of mine: Rationality. Courage tries to break away sometimes but it's jammed in between those two others who are holding her in the middle of the backseat of the car which is me.

I don't know that these three are ideals for me -- more at where I seem to be at:
1.Contingencies: We'll do this when this happens; If it doesn't, we have a second plan, or I trust we'll make a new plan.
2. Pivot Points: Once I attain this goal, what will my new goal(s) be?
3. Trust: See #1

Hey Richard,

Good luck on your application. So, in the next five years, I'd like to become a freelance writer with a published book. Now, three words for my planning horizon...

1. Humility. My unbridled pride has damaged myself and others too much. And you'll never learn if you don't humble yourself.

2. Generosity. I'm enormously stingy with my time, money and resources. Besides, people respond to generosity.

3. Identification. AS C. S. Lewis said, you can lose Christ two ways: denial and distraction. And if I gain all the world but lose Him, I've gained nothing. Identification on Christ is imperative.

Thanks for the thought provoking post.

My horizon does not stretch beyond the next few days. Have a vague sense of continuous learning. Beyond this, no idea.

I plan to become more comfortable financially, and I plan to visit my grandson often, and I plan to die in peace. Otherwise, I'm a perfect dolt.

So my horizon descriptives? This! This! This!

(the above is somewhat devil advocation, just for fun. I'm thrilled to get a picture of your upcoming adventures!)
