I’m rapidly spiraling into becoming a tech-gear head…and really enjoying the ride. Over the last month I’ve put some energy into this little brown Overland Equipment computer bag in preparation for next nine days of travel. I thought I’d share with you how I’m now situated to take my workstation on the road.
- The Acer Aspire One 10″ Net Book. It’s light, fast, holds a tone of data and the battery can provide over seven hours of constant use.
- The Blackberry Bold. The upgrade from the curve did not disappoint. The 3G network advantage and overall processing speed leaves the curve in the dust. Battery life drains faster, so I upgraded the battery. Most important feature is the tethering plan that allows me to get access to the web for the net book wherever the phone is operating.
- The Flip video camera- So easy to use and the quality falls right into expectation for the blogosphere.
- M-Audio Microtrack II- great for capturing high quality recordings, including live music or lectures.
- A Targus auto/airline battery charger and a variety of other power options, including a Solio Solar charger.
The weight of the bag is coming in around five pounds, lighter than my laptop for sure.
