SOBCon wrapped up yesterday after providing the attendees opportunities to absorb the content, build new relationships, and rethink some strategies moving forward.

It was great to meet and share much of day two of the conference with Barbara Rozgonyi.  Barbara was my first teacher last fall on the effectiveness of live tweeting from conferences.  I became intrigued by her content stream at Blog World.  The targeted micro-journalism of her experience there allowed me to participate remotely through her takeaways.

Barbara has posted useful recaps of different sessions at SOBCon including these two:

Trust Agents – Chris Brogan and Julien Smith

and Power Positioning – Brian Clark.

Also, Chris Garrett pointed out this interesting list ranking SOBCon participants with analytics.  Of all the folks I got to meet at SOBCon, learning about Chris and his content stream was the “find” of my weekend.

  • Richard, We agree on Barbara cna Chris ... interesting too that I find that the traits you admire in them are the traits that I admire in you.
  • Hi Liz, I enjoyed how the letting things happen approach (or a David Meerman Scott puts it, loosing control) led to some amazing creative alignments.
  • Richard - thanks so much for mentioning me, but even more importantly sharing how live tweeting conference updates worked for you. At SOBCon09, I chose to mix blogging with tweeting - something new for me and my readers. Great meeting you in person and wasn't it cool to be in the mastermind breakouts with Chris Garrett?
  • Hi Barbara, With Chris and you at the table I gained mightily, especially the insights into presenting and the interesting dynamics that occur.
