In many ways Jeb, the community that is gathering, (and again I'll
mention the film I viewed last week: Bab' Aziz)...the community will
be of those who arrive through persistence at the gathering which has
no predetermined location or date. While at time the paradox of
immediacy these tools put into our hands contrasted with the pace at
which community evolves is perhaps a sign that things are moving in
the right direction. Where there is paradox, there the mystery of
life.

Always a timely subject with you Richard. Persistence is what I need...as I've said before, starting is easy, it's exciting and new and full of potential. But the real challenge - certainly for me, and I assume for others - is pushing through the lull, maintaining the practice while others don't. That's where the treasure is, I feel sure.

I'm not sure what I do to stop my persistance from wavering, I just know that I have to persist, the drive perhaps Life itself, if I want something to live, I know I have to keep tending, nurturing. It's like watering plants, or the need for rain. If I don't persist, it withers. Timing & seasons is everything, there's a time to push forward, a time to pull back, a time to stop and observe, finding the balance is the tricky part, for me anyway.

May I just add, that the word 'persist' is of itself a powerful and encouraging word.
