Once a year, on a whim that I can’t quite anticipate, I reach for this tie and spend the day the humming the Charlie Brown theme. For me it’s a bit of living on the shadow side as I tend to get reminded that things need not always be so serious.
While doing shadow work tends to get a bit more messy in my experience, it need not always be so. Like carnival, when we inhabit a mask and allow ourselves to go against the grain of our conscious rigidity, sometimes something as simple as a funny tie is enough to get the ball rolling.
It’s kind of infectious…careful!
