Limit and Infinity

Convictions both liberate and limit. As we reap the energy of our any new found confidence we are often unaware of the exclusion taking place. Grabbing hold of one aspect of reality in effect dismisses the value of it’s opposite.

Jung teaches that the structure of the psyche itself is based on opposing forces; that the tension of the opposites makes consciousness possible.

The danger of our convictions is that they can lead to a hardening of our position, limiting the possibility for future transformation. The danger of having no convictions is that we can becomes stuck in a malaise, overwhelmed by options which we can not order or relate to appropriately.
